Employment Task Force: Worked with local council, skills, education and business leaders to create the Kent & Medway Employment Task Force tackling immediate employment issues arising from Covid, and fast becoming the major county body to coordinate and maximise impact across all delivery agencies - national programme performance levels locally during Covid were amongst the best in the country.

Advice to Ministers and Leaders: As Adviser to the Secretary of State on Local Government & Local Growth, and in several advisory capacities including at Kent County Council, wrote speeches, briefings and articles for ministers, council leaders, charity and business directors.

“Infrastructure Proposition”: Negotiated a major housing and infrastructure offer to Government supported by all 14 local council leaders to accelerate planned and high-quality housing delivery – spatial planning policy now renews the potential for similar innovations.

National policy papers: Contributed to and wrote public policy papers on growth, government, efficiency, planning, skills and welfare, supporting national and local leaders.

Head of private office: As chief of staff and special adviser in Westminster and in local government, acted as trusted adviser to ministers and council leaders.
